
MetroTech is a regional grant program that can fund tailored training
for new information technology and biotechnology employees. Employers
who agree to hire a recently laid off worker can access funds to train
the employee to succeed in their new position.
Current Job Listings
The local MetroTech office produces a weekly listing of Information Technology
and Biotechnology jobs in the Piedmont Workforce Network area. This list
is created primarily from a search of over 100 Web sites, including employers,
recruiters, public and commercial job lists, and others. The list is currently
"aged" at 30 days, and typically includes over one hundred positions
- at least ten times more than any other available listing for the area.
The list is free- just click on Job List to the right to receive either
a single copy or a subscription. (Please note that the file is a .pdf
and is typically around 350KB.)
If you are an employer and would like to advertise a position on the

MetroTech will:
- Work with` your company to develop a two-page project request and
submit it for approval
- Help your company find recently downsized technology workers or exiting
military personnel to fill vacancies on your company's staff
- Pay for approved technology training chosen by you.
