Welcome to the Charlottesville-Albemarle 2013 Regional Bike and Pedestrian Count!
Count Dates: September 29th, October 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 5th.
The regional bike and pedestrian count is an important initiative that allows community planners to gather data about bike and pedestrian mobility in our region. It is becoming more and more difficult to show that cyclist and pedestrian infrastructure is worth the investment. This exercise is one of many regional efforts showing the value of and need for cyclist and pedestrian infrastructure.
We need your help in order to gather this data. Please click below to sign-up. You will receive an email from the MPO confirming your sign-up. Thanks for contributing to your community and happy counting!
Prior to clicking the sign-up button, review the locations below and pick the location that you prefer. A location map is available showing all 18 count locations. Check the availability for that location prior to signing-up. If a time and date are blacked out, they are unavailable. Each counter must count for at least an hour, but can only count for a maximum of two hours. You may sign up to count for more than one shift. Once you know where and when you would like to count, click on the sign-up button and follow the prompts. You will receive an email from Sara Damron, confirming your sign-up.
There are very specific instructions for counting. Please click here to review these instructions. MPO staff recommends that you review these prior to heading out to your count location..
Please contact Sara Damron at (434) 979-7310 ext. 310 or firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions.
