Watkins M. Abbitt, Jr., an Independent from Appomattox, represents the 59th House District which includes Nelson County and part of Albemarle and Fluvanna counties. Delegate Abbitt has served in the House since 1986, and sits on the Appropriations; Commerce and Labor; General Laws; and Rules Committees.

Robert B. Bell, a Republican from Charlottesville, was elected to the 58th House District seat in 2001. He represents Greene County and part of Albemarle and Fluvanna counties. Delegate Bell is a member of the Courts of Justice; Privileges and Elections; and Health, Welfare and Institutions Committees.

W.R. "Bill" Janis, a Republican from Glen Allen, was elected to the 56th House District seat in 2001 and represents Louisa County. Delegate Janis is a member of the Courts of Justice; Finance; Health, Welfare and Institutions; and Militia, Police and Public Safety Committees.

R. Steven Landes, a Republican from Weyers Cave, represents the 25th House District, which includes part of Albemarle County. Delegate Landes has served in the House since 1996, and sits on the Appropriations; Education; and Rules Committees.

David J. Toscano, a Democrat from Charlottesville, was elected to the 57th House District in 2005. He represents Charlottesville and part of Albemarle County. Delegate Toscano serves on the Courts of Justice, and Science and Technology Committees.

R. Creigh Deeds, a Democrat from Hot Springs, was elected to the 25th Senate District seat in 2001, after having served 10 years in the House. He represents Charlottesville City, Nelson County and part of Albemarle County. He is a member of the Agriculture, Conservation and Natural Resources; Privileges and Elections; Rehabilitation and Social Services; and Transportation Committees.

Emmett W. Hanger, Jr., a Republican from Mount Solon, represents the 24th Senate District, which includes Greene County and part of Albemarle County. Senator Hanger has served in the Senate since 1996 and previously served 10 years in the House. He is a member of the Agriculture, Conservation and Natural Resources; Finance; Local Government; Rehabilitation and Social Services (chairman); and Rules Committees.

R. Edward "Edd" Houck, a Democrat from Spotsylvania, represents the 17th Senate District, which includes Louisa County. Senator Houck has served in the Senate since 1984 and sits on the Education and Health; Finance; General Laws and Technology; Transportation; and Rules Committees.

Frank M. Ruff, a Republican from Clarksville, was elected to the 15th Senate District seat in 2000, after having served six years in the House.
