Thomas Jefferson Area Coalition for the Homeless

The Thomas Jefferson Area Coalition for the Homeless (TJACH) is working toward the day when everyone in our region has a decent, safe place to sleep at night. TJACH is composed of individuals and organizations working to end homelessness through:

  • Strategic planning
  • Coordination of services
  • Public education and advocacy

TJACH meets 1:15pm-2:45pm on the 1st Tuesday of every month at the TJPDC, 401 East Water Street, a block south of Charlottesville's Downtown Mall. Meetings are open to the public, and all those with an interest are encouraged to attend.

TJACH serves as the regional HUD Continuum of Care Committee, and each year submits applications for regional Federal homeless assistance available through the McKinney-Vento Act.
