Universal Design Booth at BRHBA Home Show: The Jefferson Area Disability Services Board will have a booth on Universal Design at the Blue Ridge Home Show again this year. The display will include photographs, videos, websites, handouts, physical examples, and sources for more information. The Home Show will be April 10-12 (10-7 Friday and Saturday, 1-5 Sunday) at the John Paul Jones Arena. |

Staff Retreat: The TJPDC Staff Retreat will be held on Friday, April 17 at the Ivy Creek Natural Area Education Building. Roger McAniff of Seven Paths Leadership Center will be the facilitator. There will be a combination of indoor and outdoor activities. It will be focused on having fun and reconnecting to staff member’s passions as individuals and as an organization. |

Earth Day: TJPDC will have booths for environmental planning and RideShare at this year’s Earth Day Eco-Fair, to be held Saturday, April 18 from 10-5 at the Charlottesville Pavilion. This year’s fair will feature bands including TR3 and Trees on Fire, and speakers including Tom Perriello and David Slutzky. Planning is still underway for the event, but for the latest, check http://www.earthweek.org. |

Composting Workshop: TJPDC is partnering with the Piedmont Master Gardeners to hold a workshop on home composting on Monday, April 20 at 7 PM at the Albemarle County Office Building on Fifth Street Extended. Inexpensive compost bins will be both raffled off and sold at cost, and light refreshments will be served. Call or e-mail Rochelle (979-7310 x320, rgarwood@tjpdc.org) if you plan to come so we’ll know how many to expect. |
