Economic Stimulus Possibilities: A memo is enclosed on the year-end status of discussions at the federal level about an economic stimulus package that would include funding for state and local infrastructure projects. Click here for memo

Governor’s Commission on Climate Change: Harrison Rue served on the Governor’s Commission on Climate Change and forwarded the Final Report to share with Commissioners, staff, and partners. Harrison was honored to serve, and believes many strategies incorporated in the report are 1) based on the Commission’s successful work-to-date, and 2) will support and strengthen our work moving forward. Television and Electronics Recycling Event: TJPDC has joined with the Charlottesville Community Design Center, Crutchfield, City of Charlottesville, Albemarle County, Rivanna Solid Waste Authority, Papa John’s Pizza, and UVA Recycling as sponsors for a FREE Television and Electronics Recycling Event. The event will be held rain or shine from 9am to 3pm on Saturday, January 31, 2009 in front of Crutchfield at the Rio Hill Shopping Center (snow date Saturday February 7th).
