Homeless Program (Jeffrey Cornelius) 8:20 – 8:40 The Point-in-Time Census found 292 homeless people on January 30, 2008. TJACH will hold a facilitated community meeting on Tuesday, April 15 from 12:00 noon to 3:00 p.m. at 1st Presbyterian Church to focus on strategic planning and governance, including addressing the lead agency recommended in the Community Plan to End Homelessness. Appointment of Nominating Committee 9:00 – 9:05 The Bylaws call for the Chair to appoint a nominating committee consisting of at least three Commissioners at the April meeting. Election of officers will take place at the June 7 meeting. The slate needs to be sent to Commissioners by May 25. |

Clean Commute Day 2008 is scheduled for May 2, 11:00am-1:30pm at the East End of the Charlottesville Downtown Mall. The event is sponsored by the Commuter Information Team – Charlottesville Transit Service, University Transit Service, JAUNT and RideShare. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about regional transportation options while enjoying food, activities and prizes. |
