Mark Lorenzoni is the Chair of the Task Force to Develop the 2012 Plan to End Homelessness, which was appointed by the Commission in June 2005.

The Housing Directors Council of the HOME Consortium commissioned a Market Analysis by the Center for Housing Research (CHR) at Virginia Tech. The enclosed report includes an introduction, summary of the CHR Market Analysis report, description of existing housing programs, and recommendations. Click here for memo. Click here for report.

Rural Broadband Planning Initiative                                                 8:30 – 8:45

TJPDC is polling the localities to find out if localities have or intend to submit their own proposals and to determine the interest in submitting a regional application.

*Rivanna River Basin Commission                                                   8:45 – 9:00

At the November meeting, the Commission recommended John Martin (Albemarle), Paolo D’Odarico (City), John Easter (Fluvanna), and Smith Coleman (Greene) as representatives to the Rivanna River Basin Commission. The Thomas Jefferson Soil & Water Conservation District also recommended John Easter. The Commission needs to decide whether to make another nomination for Fluvanna or ask the Soil & Water Conservation District to choose another candidate. Click here for memo.

Green Building

As a follow-up to our previous work on Green Building, information on two related initiatives is enclosed:

2.               Click here Information about a new non-profit Earthcraft Virginia, which was formed to apply Green Building principles to multi-family housing projects (especially those built with VHDA tax credit funding). Mr. Rue is a founding Board member.
