Places29: Public workshops are scheduled for Thursday, May 18 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday, May 20 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Sutherland Middle School. On May 18, attendees will be introduced to the three Initial Framework Alternatives during two presentations, one at 5:30 p.m. and the other at 7:00 p.m. There will also be tables featuring other Places29 concepts and issues. The tables will be staffed so questions can be answered. On May 20, small groups will have a facilitator and a workbook for your comments. Each Framework Alternative will be presented individually for consideration and comment. |

Clean Commute Day: RideShare and the Commuter Information Team (JAUNT, Charlottesville Transit Service, University Transit Service, and Greene County Transit) are hosting Clean Commute Day 2006 Friday, May 5th from 11am to 2pm at Washington Park in Charlottesville. This statewide celebration, co-sponsored by the American Lung Association, is an opportunity to inform the public about how they can become cleaner commuters and the benefits of doing so.
